Description

Timelapse animation created from 936 recordings between 09:42 and 14:57UT on September 5th 2024. Each recording was 18 seconds long with a framerate of 100fps (1800 frames) and 2 seconds delay between each recording.

The recordings where obtained using a using a TS-Optics SD-APO 125mm f/7.8, with an Altair Astro 152mm H-Alpha D-ERF, Baader 35nm H-Alpha, Baader SunDancer II 4x Telecentric System TZ-4S, DayStar Quantum 0,4å PE and Player One Apollo-M Max mounted on a ZWO AM5 and guided with Hinode SolarGuider.

The best 400 frames from each recording was stacked in AutoStakkert!4 before they were aligned and sharpened in ImPPG. The images was then contrast-stretched in Adobe PhotoShop before deflickering in GBDeflicker. Timestamp annotation was added using IrfanView and the final animation was created using PIPP at 15fps. This effectively compressed the 5 hours 15 minutes of duration down to just 62 seconds.
